The story behind the design:

This luxurious silk shawl presents an abstract depiction of the Aegean Sea’s captivating shores, a vision brought to life by the designer Ali Oner through the use of intricate fractal patterns. The color palette, grounded in earthly tones of blue and yellow with a whisper of red, mirrors the natural hues that define this beloved landscape.

The blue embodies the serene yet vibrant turquoise waters of the Aegean, reflecting both the depth and clarity for which these waters are renowned. Yellow highlights the sunlit, sandy beaches that stretch endlessly along the coast, warmed by the golden rays of the sun. A hint of red subtly echoes the unique moments at sunrise and sunset, when the sky and sea are briefly set aflame with brilliant color.

The design itself is dominated by flowing, wave-like forms that suggest the constant motion of the sea, driven by the region’s strong, rejuvenating winds.
